Sixth Joint Economic Commission for the North West

The Joint Economic Commission for the North West agreed a number of actions at its sixth meeting:
- to encourage businesses in difficulty to seek advice from their accountants, solicitors and banks
- to discuss access to finance issues with the banks
- to share the good practice at Tameside Local Authority to encourage more effective use of Local Employment Partnerships amongst the Public Sector
- to support and publicise LEPs and apprenticeships for young people
The next meeting will focus on the future particularly the creative, media and digital sectors and will be held in Cheshire.
