Sixth Joint Economic Commission for the North West

The Joint Economic Commission for the North West agreed a number of actions at its sixth meeting:

  • to encourage businesses in difficulty to seek advice from their accountants, solicitors and banks
  • to discuss access to finance issues with the banks
  • to share the good practice at Tameside Local Authority to encourage more effective use of Local Employment Partnerships amongst the Public Sector
  • to support and publicise LEPs and apprenticeships for young people

The next meeting will focus on the future particularly the creative, media and digital sectors and will be held in Cheshire.
