Alan Manning is the North West Regional Secretary of TUC. As Regional Secretary, he is the senior representative of the TUC in the region responsible for the work of the TUC in the North West, the functioning of its office and the activities of the TUC’s North West Regional Council. He currently represents the TUC on a number of bodies including the Regional Skills Partnership, European Programme Bodies in the North West and UK and the European Social Fund Committee. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Regional Assembly. He also chairs the Greater Manchester Steering Group of Aimhigher and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Manufacturing Institute.
