Paul Lee

Paul Lee is Senior Partner of law firm Addleshaw Goddard LLP. He was born in Manchester, studied Law at Clare College Cambridge and returned to Manchester to complete his training. He still lives in Manchester.
Contemporaneously with his role at Addleshaw Goddard, Paul has for many years been involved in the commercial and cultural life of the UK. He sits on the Board and Audit Committee of the CBI, having previously been Chairman of the CBI North West Region. He also sits on the Board of Barlows plc and he was, until Christmas 2007, a member of the Board of the Yorkshire Building Society where for some time he was Deputy Chairman. 
In addition to his business interests, Paul has over the years been heavily involved with a variety of cultural organisations. He is currently Chairman of the Royal Exchange Theatre and Chairman of the Trustees of Chetham's School of Music where for fifteen years he was Chairman of the School Governors. He has also served on the boards of Hallé Concerts Society, Opera North and Northern Ballet Theatre.   He has been Joint-Chairman of the Prince's Trust Development Committee in the North West and he is also a World Fellow of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
